By means of the present writ petition, the petitioners seek quashing of the impugned FIR dated 16.07.2026, registered as FIR No. 358 of 2026, under Sections 3 and 5 read with Section 11 of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007, at Police Station Manglour, District Haridwar. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in the present case. It is further submitted that the petitioners neither slaughtered any cow progeny nor were they present at the spot. It is also submitted that nothing has been recovered from the possession of, or at the instance of, the present petitioners. 4. After arguing the matter at length, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are ready and willing to surrender before the court concerned and seek liberty to do so. 5. Learned State Counsel submits that he has no objection if the petitioners are permitted to surrender before the court concerned. 6. In view of the aforesaid, the present writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn UKHC010127192026 2026:UHC:6178 with liberty to the petitioners to surrender before the court concerned within a period of one month from today, i.e., on or before 24.08.2026. In the event the petitioners surrender within the aforesaid period, they shall not be arrested pursuant to the impugned FIR dated 16.07.2026, provided they continue to cooperate with the investigation. Upon such surrender, it shall be open to the petitioners to seek appropriate relief before the competent court, in accordance with law.
