Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari for calling the record and quash the impugned election result declared by respondent No. 3 for the post of Village Pradhan, Village Panchayat Sisaiya Tehsil Khatima, Distt. U. S. Nagar on 22.12.2019 in pursuant to notification dt. 03.12.2019 issued by State Election Commission Uttarakhan, Dehradun. II. Issue a writ, order or direction, in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to hold fresh elections for the post of Village Pradhan, Village Panchayat Sisaiya Tehsil Khatima, Distt. U. S. Nagar after re-examine the reservation in the light of the grounds taken by the petitioners in this writ petition.” UKHC010003282020 2026:UHC:6194 3. Learned State Counsel as well as learned counsel appearing for State Election Commission submit that term for which election was held in 2019, is over and thereafter re-election was also held in 2025. Thus they submit that writ petition has become infructuous. 4. This Court finds substance in said submission. 5. After subsequent election, reliefs as claimed in writ petition do not survive. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
