The petitioner is an accused in connection with POCSO Case No. 04 of 2026 arising out of Barharwa P.S. Case No. 302 of 2025, pending in the Court of learned Special Judge, POCSO Act, Sahibganj. The petitioner is alleged to have enticed away the daughter of the informant for the purposes of marriage. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that there is an inordinate delay in institution of the complaint case. Learned counsel submits that petitioner is in custody since 19.11.2025. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. It appears that the petitioner had sexually exploited the minor daughter of the informant on the pretext of marriage and considering the said fact, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and the same is hereby rejected at this stage.
