By order dated 11.8.2026, this Court released the petitioner on interim bail for facilitating to appear in the ensuing Under Graduate Examination conducted by the Manipur University and he was directed to surrender before the Superintendent, Manipur Central Jail, Sajiwa on 27.8.2026. It is submitted that due to prevailing law and order situation, the examination schedule was re-scheduled and last examination is fixed on 28.8.2026. In the circumstance applicant in MC (Bail Appl) No.17 of 2026, has prayed for extending interim bail period to 11.9.2026 and he be permitted to surrender on the extended date, i.e. 11.9.2026. Mr.Chittaranjan, learned Addl. A.G, Manipur/Spl PP along with Mr.Priyokumar Sharma, learned counsel submits that last examination was fixed on 28.8.2026 and at least two days’ time may be given to the petitioner to surrender. This Court has considered the materials on record, including the re-scheduled time table for examination on 28.8.2026. In the circumstance, petitioner is directed to surrender on 31.8.2026 before the Superintendent, Manipur Central Jail, Sajiwa. A copy of proof of surrender be sent to this Court and to the Trial Court. MC (Bail Appln) No.17 of 2026 is disposed of. List the remaining matter on 31.8.2026.
