ORAL ORDER
The petitioner, an association registered under the provisions of the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960, has approached this Court seeking a writ of mandamus directing respondent Nos.1 and 2 to consider its representation dated 17.03.2026 (Annexure-G) and to effect transfer of electricity connection pertaining to the common areas in the name of the petitioner-association..
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and
learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 and 2.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent Nos.3 and 4, who are responsible for the post-handover obligations, have failed to discharge their duties, particularly ensuring payment of electricity charges relating to the common areas. In view of the said lapse, the petitioner-association, representing the residents, has submitted a representation dated 17.03.2026

(annexure-G) seeking transfer of the electricity connection to its name. It is further contended that inaction on part of respondent Nos.1 and 2 in considering the representation has necessitated filing of the present petition.
4. Per contra, learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos.1 and 2 submits that the representation submitted by the petitioner would be considered in accordance with law within a time bound manner.
5. Having regard to the nature of relief sought and the limited grievance of the petitioner, this Court deems it appropriate to direct respondent Nos.1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2026 (Annexure-G). Accordingly, this Court pass the following:
ORDER i) The Writ Petition stands disposed of. ii) Respondent Nos.1 and 2 are directed to consider the petitioner’s representation

dated 17.03.2026 (Annexure-G) in accordance with law within a period of four(4) weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. iii) The petitioner is also at liberty to submit additional documents, if any, in support of its claim.
