By way of filing the present writ petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner is seeking issuance of a direction to respondent No.2 / Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue), Sakti, District Sakti (CG), to decide Revenue Appeal No.202106061000033/A-6/2020-21 (Annexure P- 11) at the earliest.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, pursuant to an application filed by the petitioner, Respondent No.3/the Tahsildar, Jaijaipur, District Sakti registered Revenue Case No.14/A-6/2019-20. In the said case, the Tahsildar passed an order directing the concerned Revenue Authority to record the said land in the name of the petitioner on the basis of a Will executed in her favour by late Balram Chandra (father of the petitioner). The said order has been challenged by Respondent No.5, namely, Jageshwar Prasad, who is brother of the petitioner, before respondent No.2/SDO (R), Sakti, and the same has been registered as Revenue Appeal No.202106061000033/A-6/2020-21. The said appeal has been pending since 23.06.2021, but the same has not been concluded yet. Hence, learned counsel prays that respondent No.2/ SDO (R), Sakti be directed to decide the said revenue appeal within a stipulated period.

Learned counsel for the State/Respondent Nos.1 to 4, on instructions, submits that the aforesaid appeal shall be decided at the earliest.
4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record.
5. The aforesaid appeal is pending consideration before the respondent No.2/SDO (R), Sakti since 23.06.2021. The petitioner has also filed the order sheets, which show that no substantive progress has been made by the concerned SDO, except for granting adjournments from time to time.

6. Having considered the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is
disposed of at this stage, directing respondent No.2/ Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue), Sakti to conclude the proceedings of Revenue Appeal No.202106061000033/A-6/2020-21 (Annexure P-11) in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt/submission of a copy of this order, if the same has not already been decided.
7. With aforesaid observation and direction, this writ petition stands
disposed of.
8. Pending interlocutory application(s), if any, also stands disposed of. No
