Pleader for R1 & R3 to R5 Mr.Kishore Ram, for RS Law Associates for R2 O R D E R This writ petition is filed seeking a Mandamus as against the respondents 4 and 5 to grant permission for locating the Dina Thanthi See Paa Adhithanar Memorial Auto Stand opposite to Dina Thanthi Office, at Bharathiar Salai Junction, Railway Station Road, Trichy, based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.12.2025, within the time stipulated by this Court. 2. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3. The petitioner has made a representation on 17.12.2025, seeking to grant permission for locating the Dina Thanthi See Paa Adhithanar Memorial Auto Stand opposite to Dina Thanthi Office, at 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD) No.962 of 2026 Bharathiar Salai Junction, Railway Station Road, Trichy. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition. 4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 3 to 5 would submit that the land in which the petitioner seeks for locating the auto stand belongs to the Highways Department. Therefore, if any permission is granted, it will affect the movement of the free flow of the vehicle and the public. 5. Considering the submissions made by both sides, this Court is of the view that since the land in which the petitioner seeks for locating the auto stand belongs to the Highways Department, if any permission is granted, definitely it will affect the movement of the free flow of the vehicle and the public. Such being the case, I do not find any merit in this Writ Petition and the same is liable to be dismissed. 6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed.
