Also heard Mr. D.P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. This is an application under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023, praying for enlarging the petitioners on bail, arrested on 10.06.2026. The petitioners were arrested on 10.06.2026 as upon checking their vehicle, among other things, some suspected animal (dog hair) was found and accordingly, after arrest, they remained in custody since then. Having regard to the nature of the allegations, further detention of the petitioners appears not to be necessary. Hence, the prayer for bail in connection with Samaguri P.S. Case No. 162/2026, under Section 303(2)/62/3(5) of BNS is allowed on furnishing of a bail bond of Rs. 50,000/- each with two (2) sureties each of the like amount to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Nagaon.
