Gogoi, learned Standing Counsel, appearing on behalf of Higher Education Department and Ms. G. Hazarika, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.1. 2. The question involved in the instant proceedings is as regards the non-payment of the land acquisition compensation to the petitioners. This Court had passed an order on 10.03.2026 taking into account the submission made on behalf of the respondent Nos. 4 and 6 that the petitioners are entitled to the compensation. However, as there was a requirement of submission of certain documents, this Court specifically directed the respondent authorities to disburse the amount to the petitioners subject to the petitioners submitting the necessary documents. 3. The matter thereupon was listed on 08.06.2026, when the learned counsel for the petitioners sought for time to obtain instructions as to whether the amounts have been paid or not. 4. Today, Ms. M. Barman, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent Nos. 4 and 6 has submitted that the petitioners have duly submitted all documents and in pursuance thereto, the District Commissioner, Kamrup, Amingaon have directed the amount of Rs. 36,02,602/- to be Page No.# 4/4 paid to the petitioners in total by debiting it from the account of the District Commissioner, Kamrup, Amingaon. In that regard, the order dated 12.06.2026 have been placed before this Court, which is kept on record and marked to the letter ‘X’. 5. Considering that there is a direction passed to the Branch Manager, State Bank of India, ICD Amingaon Branch to take necessary steps for electronic transfer of the total amount of Rs.36,02,602/- to the two petitioners herein in their respective bank accounts an amount of Rs.18,01,301/- each, nothing further remains to be decided in the instant proceedings. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. 7. This Court, however, grants liberty to the petitioners in the circumstance the said amount is not credited to the petitioners bank account within a period of 30(thirty) days from today to file an application in the instant proceedings, so that the proceedings can be revived.
