JUSTICE RAJNESH OSWAL, JUDGE ORDER(ORAL) 1) This is an application seeking condonation of 276 days delay in filing the intra-court appeal against the judgment dated 21.04.2025 whereby the learned has Writ Court allowed HCP No.338/2024 and directed release of the respondent. 2) The cause projected by the applicants in seeking condonation of delay is that after collecting record from the subordinate offices, the Law Department considered the matter and decided to assail the judgment passed by the 2 | P a g e learned Writ Court in HCP No.338/2024 and in this regard sanction was granted by the Law Department vide order dated 16th October, 2025 and thereafter the applicants applied for the certified copy of the judgment which was delivered on 10th November, 2025, as a result of which the delay was occasioned in filing the appeal. 3) After having heard learned counsel for the applicants, we find that the applicants have hardly demonstrated any cause, what to say a sufficient cause, for condoning the delay of 276 days in filing the intra-court appeal. The administrative delays can hardly be a ground for condoning the delay and more particularly when the life of the detention order which was subject matter of HCP No.338/2024 has already expired. 4) In view of the above, the present application seeking condonation of delay is dismissed being devoid of any merit and as a sequel thereto, the appeal is also dismissed along with connected CM.
