Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that 50% of the decree amount, along with proportionate accrued interest and costs, to be deposited by the petitioner has already been calculated and that a challan has also been issued for a sum of Rs.11,47,783/- (Rupees Eleven Lakhs Forty Seven Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Three only). However, due to a strike by nationalised banks across India on 27.01.2026, the petitioner could not deposit the said amount and prayed for a period of two days to deposit the same. 4.
