This is an o昀케ce reference. 2. This Court, vide order dated 21.04.2025 passed in MCRC No. 3001 of 2025, while allowing the bail of the applicants, namely, Daljeet Singh and Gurubaj Singh, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certi昀椀ed copy of that order, if there was no legal KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 impediment. 3. Earlier on one occasion also this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 21.04.2025. 4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raipur District- Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 06.03.2026 has requested for grant of four months time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that the case is presently at the stage of securing the presence of the accused persons. It is further revealed that the cross-examination of the sole remaining witness, i.e., the Investigating O昀케cer, is yet to be completed and the presence of the accused persons is also awaited. It is noted that the accused persons are residents of the State of Punjab, due to which the arrest warrants issued against them could not be executed. In these circumstances, a prayer has been made for grant of approximately four months’ additional time so as to secure the presence of the accused persons and thereafter complete the cross-examination of the Investigating O昀케cer and conclude the trial by pronouncement of judgment. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed o昀昀 with the aforesaid direction. 8.
