According to petitioner, he has not been paid interest on the delayed payment of drawback amount. Relief sought in the writ petition is as follows:- “i). Issue writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent to pay statutory interest under Section 75A of the Customs Act, 1962 on the Duty Drawback amount, which was admittedly released to the Petitioner, in respect of the export made by the Petitioner against 35 Shipping Bills filed in March 2017, in terms of Section 75A of the Customs Act, 1962.” 4. Learned counsel appearing for respondent submits that if petitioner makes representation, claiming interest, same shall be dealt with as per law. 5. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner has already made a representation on 13.04.2026. 6. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to respondent to take decision on petitioner’s representation, as per law, within four weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
