JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA Order 31.03.2026 [1] Present Mr. Syed Murtaza Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned G.A. for the State respondent and Mr. Y. Nirmolchand, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. Y. Nikhil, learned counsel for respondent No. 4. [2] By the present petition, the petitioner prays only for disposal of the representation dated 08.01.2026 submitted by the petitioner to the State respondent for taking necessary legal action for admission process for the academic year 2026-2027 by respondent No. 4. [3] It is also stated that respondent No. 4 is an un-recognised Private School operating in the name of Shepherd Oak School, Langol Laimanai, Imphal and the substantive prayer in the representation is to restraint private respondent No. 4 and other schools from issuing admission for academic session for an entire year without obtaining permission from the competent authority. [4] Mr. Y. Nirmolchand, learned senior counsel for respondent No. 4, refers to MC(WP(C)) No. 263 of 2026 filed by respondent No. 4 for dismissal of the writ petition on the ground that the representation dated 08.01.2026 submitted by the petitioner has already been disposed of by the Zonal Education Officer, Zone-I, Imphal West by issuing a letter dated 20.03.2026 to the founder of respondent No. 4 to suspend admission for the academic year without obtaining recommendation from the competent authority. [5] In view of the subsequent letter dated 20.03.2026 issued by the Zonal Education Officer, Zone-I, Imphal West, the cause of the writ petition does not survive. Writ petition and misc. application are closed. Interim order, if any, is merged with the final order. No cost.
