Mr. Surender Sharma, Advocate, for respondent No.2. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jyotsna Rewal Dua, Judge This writ petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive reliefs:- “A) That this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ in the nature of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, thereby quashing and setting aside the impugned order dated 12.05.2026 (Annexure P-6), whereby the nomination papers of the Petitioner for the post of the Member, Panchayat Samiti, Block Churag, have been rejected on the basis of the Himachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026. B) That this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other 1 Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes 2 appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the Respondents to permit the Petitioner to contest the election for the post of Member of Panchayat Samiti (Block Churag) on the basis of the eligibility/ qualification existing on the date of commencement of the election process dated 29.04.2026.” 2. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition, as according to him, some material pleadings have not been urged therein and therefore, the petitioner intends to file a fresh writ petition for the redressal of her grievances.
