By means of the present writ petition, petitioner has sought a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representations dated 20.06.2026 and 03.06.2026 submitted by him, in accordance with law, within a stipulated time period, before undertaking any exercise for promotion to the post of Senior Personal Officer. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is presently working on the post of Personal Officer and, as per the Rules governing the field, he fulfills the requisite eligibility criteria and is entitled to be considered for promotion to the post of Senior Personal Officer. 4. It has been averred in the writ petition that respondent no.4 does not fulfill the eligibility criteria for being considered for promotion to the post of UKHC010113152026 2026:UHC:6148 Senior Personal Officer, as according to the petitioner, he was not eligible for appointment to the post of Personal Officer itself. 5. Learned counsel appearing for respondent no.4 submits that respondent no.4 has already submitted his representation dated 27.06.2026 seeking consideration of his claim for promotion to the post of Senior Personal Officer. 6. Having regard to the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the parties and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the respective claims, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2 to consider and decide the representations submitted by the petitioner, respondent no.4, and any other eligible employee seeking consideration for promotion to the post of Senior Personal Officer, strictly in accordance with the applicable Rules and the law governing the field. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of two months’ from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. It is further directed that the competent authority shall take a decision on all such representations before proceeding with the promotion exercise, so that the claims of all eligible employees are considered in accordance with law and in a fair, objective, and transparent manner.
