For Petitioner : Mr.R.Paranjothi for M/s.KBS Law Office For Respondents : Mr.K.Kameswaran Government Advocate ORDER The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue patta under the provisions of the Revenue Standing Orders in respect of S.F.No.242/1 measuring 0.68.5 ares, S.F.No.220/2 measuring 0.49.0 ares, S.F.No.247/7 measuring 0.16.0 ares and S.F.No.236/7 measuring 0.17.5 ares, situated at Ettiyathali Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, and S.F.No.32/2 measuring 0.32.0 ares, situated at Melmangalam Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner’s representations dated 11.12.2023 and 14.10.2025 within the time stipulated by this Court. ____________ p. 3 W.P.(MD)No.912 of 2026 2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is entitled to patta in respect of the subject properties. The petitioner has submitted representations dated 11.12.2023 and 14.10.2025 requesting issuance of patta under the provisions of the Revenue Standing Orders. Despite the representations, the respondents have not issued patta, causing hardship to the petitioner. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that the lands in question are classified as Anadheenam and Tharisu lands and are not patta lands. The authority competent to deal with the matter is the first respondent / Commissioner of Land Administration, who alone can consider the petitioner's representations. 5. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the first respondent / Commissioner of Land Administration is directed to consider the said ____________ p. 4 W.P.(MD)No.912 of 2026 representations of the petitioner dated 11.12.2023 and 14.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, taking into account all the relevant aspects, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
