1. The petitioner has preferred this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking following reliefs :- 10.1 That the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authority i.e. respondent no. 1 & 2 to grant employment to the petitioner in lieu of land acquired by them. 10.2 That the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to AVANISH KUMAR PATHAK Digitally signed by AVANISH KUMAR PATHAK Date: 2026.03.30 18:33:04 +0530
2 direct the respondent No. 1 and 2 to decide the claim of the petitioner for grant of employment in lieu of land acquire by them within stipulated time. 10.3 That the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to call the entire record pertaining to the case of the petitioner. 10.4 That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent company/SECL to consider the case of petitioner as per the rehabilitation policy of the State and grant the employment.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, land of the petitioner bearing Khasra No. 259/3 area 0.12 acre situated at village Bhasmakhar (Gevra) Tahsil Katghora, Distt. Korba, CG, has been acquired by respondent and compensation has been paid against the same, but employment has not been provided to the petitioner or his father. He further submits that, earlier the father of the petitioner had filed application (Annexure P-2) nominating the petitioner to provide him employment, but the respondent authorities did not provide him employment. Subsequently, he again filed an application (Annexure P- 5) dated 25-7-2025 for getting employment, but the same has not been decided yet. Hence, learned counsel submits that, this writ petition may be disposed of directing the respondent No. 1 and 2 to decide his application (Annexure P-5) dated 25-7-2025 and earlier application (Annexure P-2) within stipulated period.

Learned counsel for the respondents No. 1 and 2 would submit that, application filed by the petitioner shall be decided in accordance with law/ rules/policy expeditiously.

4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record.
5. Considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, without entering into merit of the case, this petition is
disposed of at this stage, directing the respondents No. 1 and 2 to decide the application (Annexure P-5) dated 25-7-2025 coupled with earlier application (Annexure P-2) as early as possible preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6. With the above observations and directions, this writ petition stands
disposed of.
