By means of the present writ petition, petitioner is seeking a mandamus directing the Selecting Body to revise the Provisional Recommendation List dated 27.05.2026 and to recommend the name of petitioner to the Appointing Authority for appointment on the post of Instructor (Electrical) against one of the unfilled vacancies earmarked for candidates belonging to SC Category of the advertisement dated 16th February, 2024. 2. The petitioner contends that the petitioner participated in the selection process pursuant to the advertisement dated 16.02.2024 Annexure-1 to the writ petition for the post of Instructor (Electrical) in Government ITI in the State of Uttarakhand. 3. The grievance of the petitioner as canvassed in the present writ petition is that despite selection and after appearing in the document verification process, the name of petitioner was not recommended for 1 UKHC010125082026 2026:UHC:6074 appointment to the appointing authority while name of other candidates have been recommended. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he had moved a representation to the respondent no.3 on 29.06.2026 which is still pending disposal at the end of the respondent/Commission. 5. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner if a direction is issued to the respondent/Commission i.e. the Selecting Body to decide the representation of the petitioner within a stipulated time fixed by this Court, the end of justice would be met. 6. Learned counsel for the Commission does not dispute if such a direction is issued to the Commission to decide the representation submitted by the petitioner. 7. Accordingly, writ petition is finally disposed of directing respondent no.3 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 29.06.2026 (Annexure-10 to the writ petition) within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order strictly in accordance with law and after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
