02/ 04.05.2026: Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.
2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Chatra Sadar Case No. 88 of 2025, registered under sections 467, 468, 471, 420, 409, 34 of I.P.C, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chatra.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that false allegation has been made against the petitioner of tampering with the Register-II in the Circle Office, Tandwa. He further submits that petitioner was working as Lower Division Clerk and same allegations are made against the co-accused who was working in the said office as Upper Division Clerk. On these grounds, he submits that the petitioner may kindly be provided privilege of anticipatory bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and submits that there is serious allegation against the petitioner of tampering with the Register-II and in view of that anticipatory bail of the petitioner may kindly be rejected.

Looking into contents of F.I.R, it transpires that petitioner was working as Lower Division Clerk in the Circle Office of Tandwa and allegations are made against the petitioner of tampering with the Register-II.

In the attending facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, his prayer for anticipatory bail is hereby rejected.
