This is a revision application challenging the judgment and order dated 20th July 2026, passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Ahmednagar, wherein the appeal preferred by the Applicant–accused came to be partly allowed, thereby confirming the judgment and order dated 12th March 2020, wherein the Applicant came to be convicted under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and sentenced to suffer simple imprisonment till the rising of the Court and to pay compensation of 5,50,000/- to the complainant. ₹ 2. Mr. Choudhari, learned counsel for the Applicant, submits that there are strong and arguable points involved in the instant Shrikant Malani 2026:BHC-AUG:41969 914.REVN.298.2026.doc Criminal Revision Application and there are bright chances of succeeding in the same. He, therefore, submits that as the instant Criminal Revision Application may not be heard in the near future, the sentence be suspended till then. 3. Hence, the substantive sentence imposed by the learned Trial Court is hereby suspended, subject to the Applicant depositing an amount of 1,50,000/- within a period of three weeks from today. ₹ 4. The Applicant be released on bail by executing a PR Bond of 25,000/- along with one solvent surety in the like amount. ₹ 5. The bail be furnished before the learned Trial Court. 6.
