This Public Interest Litigation has been filed seeking a direction from this Court to the Respondents to use the Gaukasth (cow dung logs) as the primary fuel in place of firewood and further to issue appropriate guidelines / directions for ensuring proper management of Gaushalas where the animals are kept including adequate fodder, veterinary care etc. Certain other directions have also been sought by the Petitioner which appear to be more of a suggestion. Accordingly, having regard to the issues raised in the present Petition, we dispose of the same with a liberty to the Petitioner to approach the various authorities which have been impleaded in the present Petition as Respondents by way of making a representation for redressal of the grievance and issues raised in the present Petition. The said representation shall be made within a fortnight from today by the Petitioner taking all the pleas which may be available to him in law and enclosing all the documents on which the Petitioner seeks reliance. Once the representation is made by the Petitioner, the same shall be decided by the appropriate authority / authorities and a workable decision as per law shall be taken. The decision to be taken under this order shall also be communicated to the Petitioner. 4. The Petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
