Malyasree Maity Mr. Fardeen Hossain Mr. Nishant Kumar ….for the Petitioners Mr. Srijan Nayak Mrs. Rituparna Maitra ….for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against inaction of the respondent WBSEDCL in removing a high-tension power transformer from close to the land of the petitioner. It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that there is an alternative area for installation of such high-tension meter and the same has been illegally and unauthorizedly installed in the proximity of the petitioner’s land situated at L.R. Dag No. 1201, Mouza- Abasbari and Uttarchara Sankar Ara, District- Purba Medinipur. The Report filed by the WBSEDCL suggest that the entire installation of the subject electric pole has already been completed. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that there is an alternative suitable area where such electric pole should have been installed i.e. Dag No. 1172. 2 In view of the nature of disputes raised by the petitioners, WPA 11623 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the concerned District Magistrate having jurisdiction in the matter to consider the disputes raised by the petitioners and take a decision on the grievance of the petitioner is concerned. It is made clear that there has been no expression on the merits of the case and all issues are left open for the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur to decide in accordance with law after hearing all the affected parties. The above exercise is to be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. (RAVI KRISHAN KAPUR, J.)
