03/ 19.01.2026 Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in connection with Silli P.S. Case No. 97 of 2025, registered for the offences under Sections 274 and 275 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 47(A) of Excise Act, pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Ranchi.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that false allegation is made against the petitioners of storing 600 Kgs. of Jawa Mahua and 25 liters of country made liquor in a hut nearby the Subernrekha river. He next submits that the petitioners have been made accused on the basis of statement made by the village chaukidar.

Learned A.P.P. appearing for the State has opposed the prayer and submits that the name of the petitioners has been taken by the village chaukidar.

Considering that the alleged recovery of jawa mahua and country made liquor have been made from a hut nearby the Subernrekha river and not from the house of these petitioners, in that view of the matter, the petitioners, named above, are directed to surrender before the learned Court within two weeks from today and the learned Court shall release the petitioners on such terms and conditions or the sureties as the learned Court may deem fit and proper.
