Heard Mr. Keshav Dewangan, learned counsel for the petitioners in CRMP No. 3302 of 2025 and Mr. D.K. Gwalre, learned counsel for the petitioners in CRMP Nos. 2667 of 2025 & 3303 of 2025. Also heard Mr. S.S. Baghel, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the State in all the cases and Mr. Deepak Sharma, learned counsel, appearing for respondent No. 2 in CRMP No. 2667 of 2025. 2. The present petitions have been filed by the petitioners with the following prayers: “3.1 allow the instant petition; 3.2 graciously be pleased to quash the impugned FIR bearing Crime No. 19 of 2025 dated 20.01.2025 registered at Police Station Pandri, District Raipur (C.G.) for commission of alleged offence punishable 4 under Sections 120-B, 409, 420 of the IPC and the consequential criminal proceeding, if any, qua the petitioners herein in the interest of justice.” 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner in CRMP No. 2667 of 2025 submits that a settlement has been arrived at between petitioner, namely Kapil Chandrakant Shelke, and complainant/respondent No. 2, Rounak Goyal, who is stated to have received the agreed amount pursuant to the said settlement. It is further submitted that the remaining petitioners are Directors of different Companies and are not parties to the said settlement. The settlement agreement dated 15.10.2025, entered into between petitioner, Kapil Chandrakant Shelke, and respondent No. 2, Rounak Goyal, has been annexed along with the petitions. It is further submitted that the original settlement agreement is in the possession of petitioner, Kapil Chandrakant Shelke. 4. Learned counsel for respondent No. 2 is present; however, he does not acknowledge or confirm the said settlement at this stage. 5. In view of the above, the Investigation Officer, Police Station Pandri, District Raipur (C.G.), is directed to verify the authenticity and validity of the alleged compromise arrived at between petitioner, Kapil Chandrakant Shelke, and the complainant/respondent No. 2, Rounak Goyal, and thereafter submit a report in accordance with law before the competent Court after due verification of the settlement dated 15.10.2025. The said report shall also take into consideration the role of 5 the remaining petitioners, who are also arrayed as accused in the present case, and shall be submitted within a period of four weeks from today. The interim protection granted earlier shall continue for a further period of four weeks from today. 6. The Superintendent of Police, Raipur, shall ensure due compliance with the directions issued by this Court. 7. With the aforesaid directions, the present petition stands disposed of. 8. Learned State counsel is directed to send a copy of this order to the Superintendent of Police, Raipur, for necessary information.
