Mr. Kapil Dutta, appearing on behalf of the respondent no.1/MCD, submits that pursuant to orders passed by this Court on 17th April, 2026 and 23rd April, 2026, the demolition exercise has been carried out and the unlawfully constructed thara unlawfully created has been demolished. 5. Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that after the thara was demolished on 30th April, 2026, on the very next day, a fresh thara has been constructed at the site. 6. He has also drawn the attention of the Court to the fact that some of the local residents, including the respondent no.4, carried out sloganeering and acts of vandalism, causing damage to the property of the petitioner. A police complaint has also been lodged by the petitioner on 30th April, 2026. 7. In view thereof, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing respondent no.1/MCD to demolish the fresh unauthorised encroachment, i.e. the thara, within three (3) days from today. 8. The respondent no.2/SHO, P.S.: Begumpur, Delhi-110086, shall provide necessary assistance to officials of MCD for carrying out the exercise. The police shall also ensure that the unauthorised encroachment/thara does not recur at any point of time. 9. In the event any of the residents attempt to carry out fresh unauthorised encroachment and/or attempt to reconstruct the thara, the respondent no.2/SHO, P.S.: Begumpur, shall take appropriate action in accordance with law. 10.
