GP FOR FINANCE PLANNING 4 The Court made the following Order:- The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was entrusted with the execution of the works. The grievance of the petitioner is with regard to the action of the Respondents in not releasing the payments towards the bills payable to the petitioner for the works executed by him, namely, (i) “Laying of CC Road at Indira Gandhi Nagar Street Cross Road in Division No.32/1 (Sanjay Gandhi Nagar) of NMC under Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam”, under Agreement No.397/GGMP/EE-II/2023-24, dated 10.11.2023, for an amount of Rs.1,19,286/-, (ii) “Laying of CC Road from Sri Poleramma Temple to D.No.124 at Sramika Nagar in Division No.30 of NMC under Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam”, under Agreement No.518/GGMP/EE-I/2023-24, dated 10.01.2024, for an amount of Rs.10,22,870/-, (iii) “Laying of CC Road from D.No.424 to MPP School at Sramika Nagar in Division No.30 of NMC under Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam”, under Agreement No.517/GGMP/EE-I/2023-24, dated 10.01.2024, for an amount of Rs.19,36,263/-, (iv) “Laying of CC Road at Nethaji Nagar 8th Street 4th Cross Road in Division No.32/1 (Sanjay Gandhi Nagar) of NMC under Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam”, under Agreement No.396/GGMP/EE-II/2023-24, dated 10.11.2023, for an amount of Rs.5,58,618/-, (v) “Laying of CC Road at Sanjay Gandhi Nagar 8th Street 3rd Cross, Division No.32/1 of NMC under Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam”, under Agreement No.392/GGMP/EE-III/2023-24, dated 10.11.2023, for an amount of Rs.6,38,841/-, (vi) “Upgradation of CC Road at 5 Vengal Rao Nagar 9th Street in Division No.32 of NMC under Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam”, under Agreement No.393/GGMP/EE-III/2023- 24, dated 10.11.2023, for an amount of Rs.7,43,667/-, (vii) “Laying of CC Road at Bank Colony in Division No.32/1 (Sanjay Gandhi Nagar) of NMC under Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam”, under Agreement No.394/GGMP/EE-III/2023-24, dated 10.11.2023, for an amount of Rs.1,49,087/-, and (viii) “Laying of CC Road from D.No.25-1-36 to D.No.25-1- 45 at Lakshmi Narasimhapuram (Srikakulam Street) in Division No.35 of NMC under Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam”, under Agreement No.373/GGMP/2022-23, dated 20.12.2022, for an amount of Rs.1,57,537/-, totalling to Rs.53,26,169/- (Rupees Fifty-Three Lakhs Twenty-Six Thousand One Hundred and Sixty-Nine only). 2. 2. It is submitted that the petitioner had completed the works entrusted to him and that the competent authority of the respondents had also approved the payment due and payable to the petitioner. The respondents have also recorded the progress of the works and the amounts due and payable to the petitioner in the M-Book. 3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, Sri V. Naga Praveen, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Municipality, and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning. 6 4. During the course of hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Municipality submits that the works have been completed and that the petitioner has also submitted the final bills and the amounts due and payable to the petitioner have been duly admitted. It is submitted that further funds are awaited and that, soon after the release of the funds, the bills due and payable to the petitioner shall be cleared. 5. Recording the submissions, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, directing the respondents to verify and release the payments due and payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. 6.
