Issue a writ of Certiorari or other appropriate writ, order or direction quashing: - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:23404 WP No. 13627 of 2024 a. The Impugned Order dated May 7, 2024 issued by the Respondent No.1 to Petitioner No.2 bearing number PÀæ.¸ÀAB ¸ÀPÁ¤EA(«)/¸À¯É/»¸À/J¸ï- 13/272-73 (Annexure-A) and further proceeding pursuant thereto; b. The Demand Notice dated February 7, 2024, bearing number PÀæ.¸ÀAB ¸ÀPÁ¤EA(«)/¸À¯É/»¸À/J¸ï- 13/3379, (Annexure-D) issued by the Respondent No.2 to Petitioner No.2, and : II. Issue a writ of Mandamus or other appropriate writ, order or direction restraining the Respondents from taking any action against the Petitioner, including but not limited to disconnecting supply of electricity to the said connection of RR No. S8HT146 registered in favour of the Petitioner No.2; and III. Grant such other interim reliefs as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the above circumstances of the case, in the interests of justice and equity." 2. The dispute arises out of levy of back billing charges to the tune of `.3,56,35,152/- on the allegations of misuse of concessional tariff under HT-2A category. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:23404 WP No. 13627 of 2024 3. This Court by order dated 23.05.2024 granted interim protection staying the impugned proceedings, subject to payment under concessional tariff. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners has filed I.A.No.1/2026 stating that during the pendency of the proceedings, the respondents issued a revised demand notice dated 10.03.2026, revising the liability to `.3,61,79,882/-. The petitioner No.2 has accepted the revised demand and remitted the entire amount. An affidavit has been filed recording that the dispute in respect of RR.No.S8HT146 stands fully and finally settled. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in view of the issuance of revised demand, and payment of the settled amount, the entire dispute between the parties stands resolved and nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition. 6. In light of the subsequent developments and categorical statement made on behalf of the petitioners - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:23404 WP No. 13627 of 2024 that the dispute has been amicably settled and fully resolved, this Court is of the considered view that no further adjudication on merits is warranted. Accordingly, this Court pass the following: ORDER The Writ Petition stands disposed of in view of the settlement arrived at between the parties pursuant to the revised demand notice dated 10.03.2026 and payment made thereunder.
