The petitioner claims to be the owner of a plot of land within Mouza Padima, JL no. 423, under Police Station of Dantan in the District of Paschim Medinipur. The petitioner alleges that his property has been encroached upon by the private respondents. The petitioner states that a survey and demarcation was made by a private Amin but the same is not accepted by the private respondents. The petitioner has approached the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer for deputing a Government Amin for the purpose of demarcation of the plots of the parties and for settlement of the boundary dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents. Heard Mr. Mahata, learned Additional Government Pleader on such submission. The learned Advocate for the petitioner could not cite any provision of law which mandates the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer to depute Government Amins for the purpose of settling a boundary dispute between two private parties in respect of an immovable property. Mere submission of a representation before the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer cannot give any right upon the petitioner for consideration by an authority. For such reason, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief to the petitioner in this writ petition. WPA 27665 of 2025 is accordingly, disposed of. This order shall not prevent the petitioner from taking any appropriate steps in accordance with law before any proper forum.
