Heard Mr. R. Bora, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. M. P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam and Mr. N. Hasan, learned Amicus Curiae appearing for the respondent No.2. 2. This is an application filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, whereby the petitioner, Ramlal Chauhan has prayed for releasing him on bail as he is facing the trial in Special POCSO Case No.06/2025 arising out of Kheroni Police Station Case No.05/2025, under Section 65(1) of the BNS, 2023 read with Section 6 of the POCSO Act, 2012, pending in the Court of the learned Special Judge, West Karbi Anglong. 3. There are nine prosecution witnesses named in the charge-sheet. Out of them, seven prosecution witnesses have already been examined, and two prosecution witnesses are yet to be examined. 4. This Court is of the opinion that the trial of the case is going on full swing and allowing the petitioner to go on bail would cause disturbance in early disposal of the case. Therefore, the bail application of the petitioner is found to be devoid of merit and stands dismissed accordingly. Page No.# 3/3 5. The Trial Court shall expedite the trial of the case. 6.
