The present this writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to sanction and release family pension/EPF in favour of the petitioner on account of death of her husband Late Charan Singh. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that petitioner’s husband was a Driver with the respondent- Uttarakhand Transport Corporation who died on 06.03.2026 leaving behind the petitioner and her two married and two unmarried daughters. 3. Due to death of her husband, petitioner and her two daughters are facing acute financial hardship. The petitioner submitted all requisite document before the Authorities concerned for grant of family pension and other retiral/terminal dues of her late husband, but the said representation is still undecided. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that if a direction is issued to the respondent-U.T.C. to take a decision on the representation of the petitioner dated 03.06.2026, annexure no.4 to the writ petition, within a stipulated period, ends of justice would be met. 1 UKHC010123102026 2026:UHC:6008 5. Learned counsel for the respondent-Corporation submits that if such a direction is issued by this Court, the representation of the petitioner would be decided within a period fixed by this Court, in accordance with law. 6. In such view of the matter, writ petition is finally disposed of. Competent Authority in respondent-U.T.C. is directed to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 03.06.2026, annexure no.4 to the writ petition, within a period of two months, strictly, in accordance with law, from the date of receipt of this order.
