The instant Writ Petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents in not passing the orders appointing the petitioner as Government Qazi as per the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in Rc.No.653/2024/Lands-E4, dated 15.07.2024. 3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Social Welfare appearing for the respondent No.1 has placed before the Court a copy of the proceedings dated 04.08.2026 received from the 1st respondent. A perusal of the same would reflect that the proposal submitted by the 2nd respondent has been rejected on the ground that there is a sufficient number of existing Qazis in Ponnur Assembly constituency. There is no further requirement for the appointment of an additional Qazi. Accordingly, the 2nd respondent was requested to inform the same to the petitioner. 4. Having regard to the above, this Court is of the view that the relief sought by the petitioner does not merit for further consideration. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to communicate the proceedings dated 04.08.2026 to the petitioner forthwith. There shall be no order as to costs.
