Petitioner’s mother was Anganwari Helper under Murarai ICDS Project, Murarai, Birbhum. 3. Mother of the petitioner died-in-harness on 18th February, 2025. Petitioner being the daughter of the deceased employee made an application to the Child Development Project Officer, Murarai ICDS Project, Birbhum being respondent no.8 through supervisor Murarai ICDS Project, Birbhum. Petitioner prays for direction for providing appointment on compassionate ground. 4. State respondents are represented by learned advocates. 5. It is submitted that application of the petitioner needs to be considered in terms of the relevant scheme prescribing criteria for giving appointment on compassionate ground. 6. Having considered the respective submissions made on behalf of the parties, writ petition stands disposed of directing Child Development Project Officer, Murarai ICDS Project, Birbhum being respondent no.8 to decide application of the petitioner dated 8th May, 2025 by eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 7. Respondent no.8 shall pass a reasoned order and same shall be communicated to the petitioner by ten days thereafter. 8. If petitioner is found to be eligible for appointmen on compassionate ground consequential steps shall be taken for appointing the petitioner on compassionate ground. 9.
