NATARAJ ORAL ORDER The petitioners have challenged the prosecution launched against them in C.C No.354/2020 pending trial before the Civil Judge (Jr.Dn) and JMFC, Ponnampet for offences punishable under Sections 498A, 506 read with Section 34 of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2. When this petition is listed for admission, Sri.S.L.Praveen, learned counsel appearing for Sri.M.H.Haneef, - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:16679 WP No. 7274 of 2021 learned counsel for respondent No.2 submits that the parties have settled their disputes amicably. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that a suit in O.S No.15/2023 was filed by the daughter of respondent No.2 for partition and separate possession of her share in the suit properties and that the parties have settled the said suit in terms of which, respondent No.2 has agreed to withdraw all cases pending before all Courts including C.C No.354/2020. 4. In this regard, the learned counsel for the petitioners has filed a memo along with the related documents The memo and the documents are taken on record. 5. A perusal of the above documents would indicate that the respondent No.2 has specifically agreed in O.S No.15/2023 that she would withdraw C.C No.354/2020 and Cr.M.C No.136/2022, registered by the respondent No.1. 6. In that view of the matter, the petition is allowed. The prosecution launched against the petitioners in C.C No.354/2020 pending trial before the Civil Judge (Jr.Dn) and JMFC, Ponnampet registered for offences punishable under - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:16679 WP No. 7274 of 2021 Sections 498A, 506 read with Section 34 of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 is quashed.
