And In the matter of : Babu Sk @ Kalu Sk & Anr. ……Petitioners. Ms. Arushi Rathore ……for the Petitioners. Mr. Madhusudan Sur, Ld. APP Mr. Anindya Sunder Chatterjee ……for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that petitioners have been falsely implicated for alleged recovery of 31.225 kgs of ganja. Charge-sheet has already been submitted and charges have been framed and the petitioners are in custody for seven months. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that all the accused persons are equally responsible. Having considered that witness action is about to commence, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioners on bail. Petitioners would renew their prayer for bail after the evidence of seizure list witnesses are over. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioners in CRM (NDPS) 232 of 2026 is dismissed at this stage.
