According to petitioner, he completed the civil construction work for which contract was awarded to him in 2022, however, payment for the work done has not been released so far. 4. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief:- i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus, directing the respondent authority to release the outstanding amount of Rs. 3.258.817.96 with respect to civil construction work undertaken in context to "Renovation of staircase and construction of porch at Commissioner's Office, Tallital, Nainital," alongwith an interest at the rate of 12% per annum, and further, the performance security, additional performance security submitted with respondents be released forthwith.” 5. Mr. Sandeep Kothari, learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that if petitioner has any grievance, then he can approach the UKHC010123632026 2026:UHC:5978 Chairman of the Development Authority. 6. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by permitting petitioner to make representation to the Commissioner, Kumaon Division/ Chairman, District Level Development Authority within two weeks. If petitioner makes representation within stipulated time, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within six weeks thereafter.
