1. Ms. Urmila Mehta, Advocate holding brief of Ms. Prabha Naithani,
learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. J.S. Virk, learned Additional Advocate General for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:-
(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Habeas Corpus declaring the detention and custody of petitioner's son Ankush from 09.06.2026 till the time of his alleged arrest shown on 10.06.2026 as wholly illegal, unconstitutional and violative of Articles 21 and 22 of the Constitution of India and to pass appropriate order for immediately release of son of petitioner's son Ankush and to produce him before Hon'ble Court. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction declaring the alleged arrest proceedings, arrest memo, place of arrest and time of arrest shown by respondent police authorities to be false, fabricated and contrary to actual facts and circumstances;
(iii) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing Respondent Nos. 4, 5 and 6 to immediately preserve, secure and produce

2026:UHC:5900-DB before this Hon'ble Court the complete CCTV footage of all cameras installed at Tejjoopur Police Chowki, Imlikheda Police Chowki and Police Station Kaliyar including lock-up area, interrogation rooms, corridors, entry gates, exits and surrounding areas for the period commencing from 09.06.2026 till 10.06.2026;
(iv) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing Respondent to ensure the guidelines of directions issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Paramvir Singh Saini vs. Baljit Singh & Others, SLP (Crl.) No. 3543 of 2020, decided on 02.12.2020 as well as communication dated 19.1.2021 issued by Director General of Police Uttarakhand. (v) Issue a writ, order or direction directing initiation of departmental and disciplinary proceedings against all erring police officials involved in the illegal detention and false implication of petitioner's son Ankush and other similarly situated persons;
(vi) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing payment of exemplary constitutional compensation to Ankush for illegal detention, violation of fundamental rights and unlawful deprivation of personal liberty;
4. After arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition. 5. In view of the statement so made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is dismissed, as withdrawn.
