The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner was involved in purchasing and transporting 1.3 kgs of ganja from Andhra Pradesh to place of occurrence. While the police party intervened to conduct search on A1 and A2, A2 ( the petitioner) ran away from the place of occurrence after seeing the police party, and A1 was intercepted and ganja was recovered. Hence, the complaint was registered. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that based on the confession statement of A1, the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. Therefore, he prays for grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that it is a case involving 1.3 kgs of ganja and the investigation in this case is pending. Hence opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5. Considering the fact that it is a case of possession and transportation of ganja, and if the petitioner is granted bail there is a likelihood that he will indulge in similar activities, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 02-01-2026 Mpa Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes Neutral Citation:Yes/No https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 34977 of 2025 To 1.State Rep by its, Inspector of Police .
