The petitioner is the absolute owner of a residential premises at Madipakkam, Chennai, which was constructed in the month of July 2025 and is being used exclusively for residential purposes. After completion of construction, the petitioner applied for conversion of the earlier temporary service connection taken during the construction work to Domestic Tariff and also paid the prescribed charges for the same. However, the respondents failed to process the application despite repeated requests. Finally, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation on 12.01.2026 seeking to convert the service connection. Since there is no response, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. With the above direction, this writ petition is allowed.
