GP FOR FISHERIES The Court made the following order: Heard Sri K.V.S.S.Prabhakara Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Fisheries appearing for the respondents. With the consent of both the learned counsel, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission. 2. The grievance of the petitioner in the instant writ petition is against the action of the respondents in not taking any steps against the respondents Nos.5 to 7 in operating the salt water shrimp ponds located in Polavaram Village, Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Konaseema District. 3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Fisheries appearing for the respondents has placed before the Court a copy of the proceedings dated 04.08.2026 received from the Fisheries Development Officer. A perusal of the same would reflect that the unofficial respondents have obtained a license for freshwater aquaculture in the year 2021. However, a complaint was lodged against them under the Public Grievance Redressal System. Upon receipt of the said complaint, inspections were conducted on 23.02.2026 and 06.03.2026. During the course 3 of the such inspections, it was found that the unofficial respondents under the guise of the license issued for fresh water fish ponds had commenced shrimp farming without valid permissions for saltwater shrimp culture in violation of the license granted for freshwater aquaculture. Consequently, a show-cause notice dated 31.07.2026 was issued to the unofficial respondents calling for explanation within fifteen (15) days from the date of receipt of the notice. 4. Having regard to the above, this Court is of the considered view that the grievance of the petitioner has been resolved, as the respondent authorities have already initiated appropriate action. In the light of the same, no further orders with reference to the relief sought in the writ petitioner are required to be passed. However, the respondents are directed to communicate a copy of the proceedings to the petitioner, if any further orders are passed pursuant to the show-cause notice dated 31.07.2026 issued to the unofficial respondents. 5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall also stand closed. ______________________________ JUSTICE KIRANMAYEE MANDAVA Date: 06.08.2026 BSK 4 28 THE HONOURABLE SMT JUSTICE KIRANMAYEE MANDAVA WRIT PETITION NO: 22007 OF 2026 Date: 06.08.2026 BSK
