Dr. Sutanu Krumar Patra
Ms. Supriya Dubey …for the W.B.C.S.S.C.
This matter has been placed on the list under the heading
“To Be Mentioned” at the instance of the Commission. Dr. Patra, learned advocate appearing for the Commission, submits that by an order dated 25th February, 2026, the Commission was directed to accept the offline applications submitted by the appellants, and the appellants were accordingly directed to appear before the competent officer with their respective applications on 6th March, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. He submits that due to certain unavoidable circumstances, the Commission would not be in a position to accept the said applications on 6th March, 2026. He, therefore, prays that the order be modified to the extent of permitting the appellants to appear before the competent officer with their offline applications on 13th March, 2026, on which date the said applications shall be accepted.
2 In view of the submission advanced on behalf of the Commission, the appellants shall appear before the competent officer on 13th March, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with their respective offline applications, and the same shall be accepted on that date. Since the proforma respondent nos. 6 to 8 are similarly situated to the writ petitioners/respondents who were parties before the learned Single Bench, but could not join the appellants in preferring the present appeal due to miscommunication, and as Dr. Patra has agreed to permit them to submit their applications and appear before the competent officer on 13th March, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., it is directed that, on the said date, the offline applications, if submitted by any of the proforma respondents, shall also be accepted. The order dated 25th February, 2026 passed in this appeal is modified to the above extent.
