The petitioners have filed the present petition as a public interest litigation, inter alia, praying as under:- "a) issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ, or direction, directing the respondent No.2 and 3 to not to permit the respondent No.4 to run the Suryodaya Educational Trust and also not to permit the further construction in the property. b) issue any other appropriate writ, or order or direction deemed fit to be granted in the facts and circumstance of the case, to meet the ends of justice." 2. Respondent is No.3, (Tahsildar) has filed the statement of objection inter alia, confirming the allegations made in the petition. The said authority confirms that respondent No.4 has encroached upon two acres of government land in Survey No.2/15, which is earmarked for public purpose including primary healthcare center - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:24080-DB WP No. 20413 of 2023 for; structure of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation; and a public road. Respondent No.3 also alleges that respondent No.4 has encroached has unlawfully constructed Multi-storey building including a commercial shopping complex and a school, on the government land. He states that the construction of the said building is without any approval. Respondent No.4 has also failed to produce any valid ownership documents to the subject land. 3. In view of the above, we consider it apposite to direct the concerned authorities to take necessary steps for protection of the government property, to the full extent of the law. 4.
