JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned Additional Government Advocate takes notice for all the respondents. 2. It is the contention of the petitioner the respondent-Deputy Commissioner, Bengaluru Urban District, passed an order in LND (N)SR 42/1977-78, granting 1.00 Acres of land in favour of Sri.Sadashivaiah, the husband of the petitioner in Sy.No.70 of Sondekoppa - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:11956 WP No. 6487 of 2026 village, Dasanapura Hobli, Bengaluru North Taluk and Saguvali Chit was also issued on 09.01.1979. Thereafter, mutation entry was also made in favour of the petitioner’s husband in M.R.No.17/1984-85. However, after computerization, the name of the petitioner’s husband was not continued in the revenue records. 3. After hearing the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Advocate and on perusing the petition papers, this Court finds from the material on record that the name of the petitioner’s husband was earlier entered in the land revenue records. However, if the Tahsildar is of the opinion that the petitioner’s husband has not been granted land, nevertheless, it is the duty of the Tahsildar to secure the original Grant Register, Saguvali Chit Issue Register and other contemporaneous records to satisfy himself regarding the grant made in favour of the petitioner’s husband. Moreover, there is no reason why the name of the petitioner’s husband which was earlier entered in the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:11956 WP No. 6487 of 2026 land revenue records has not been continued after computerization, the Tahsildar is duty bound to look into all these aspects and pass necessary orders. 4. Consequently, this writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to the respondent–Tahsildar, Bengaluru North Taluk, to consider the representation given by the petitioner and in the light of the observations made hereinabove, verify the original records in the presence of the petitioner and pass necessary orders to enter the name of the petitioner’s husband in the computerized RTC and land revenue records as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.
