1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for respondent-State.
2. The petitioner has preferred the present petition with the following prayer:- (i) Issue writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the rejection order dated 07.04.2026 passed by respondent no.4 (Annexure No.1 to the repetition). (ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent to revise the petitioner's pension to extraordinary family pension (category C) at 60% of basic pay under the Railway Service (Extraordinary) Pension Rules, 1993. (iii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to issue a Revised Pension Payment order P.P.O. reflecting Extraordinary Pension at 60% of basic pay with immediate effect.
3. A preliminary objection has been raised by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent that the petitioner has remedy of filing the petition before the Central Administrative Tribunal as the petitioner is an Ex-Railway Employee.
4. In view of the same, I am not inclined to interfere.
