JUSTICE BUDI HABUNG ORDER Date : 15-06-2026 Heard Ms. D. Dutta, learned counsel for the accused applicant and Ms. T. Jini, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. 2. By an order dated 11.05.2026, while calling for the Case Diary, the accused applicant was granted interim protection by directing that, in the event of his arrest in connection with Daporijo P.S. Case No. 03/2026, he shall be released on interim bail, subject to the condition that he would appear before the Page No.# 2/3 Investigating Officer (I.O.) of the case within a period of 10 (ten) days from the date of the order. 3. It is submitted that, in compliance with the direction of this Court, the accused applicant had appeared before the I.O. of the case on 16.05.2026. Upon such appearance, the I.O. showed him arrested and after recording his statement, released him on the strength of the interim anticipatory bail granted by this Court on 11.05.2026. 4. Ms. Jini, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, submits that the accused applicant, after obtaining interim anticipatory bail, has appeared before the I.O. of the case, where he was arrested and subsequently after recording his police statement, he has been released on bail. The accused applicant has been cooperating with the investigating agency, therefore, his further custodial interrogation is no longer required. 5. In view of the above submissions and on perusal of the Case Diary and the materials collected by the investigating officer till date, it appears that the investigation is substantially complete and that custodial interrogation of the accused applicant is not required at this stage. 6. Accordingly, the interim anticipatory bail granted to the accused applicant on 11.05.2026 is hereby made absolute, subject to the following conditions: (i) The accused applicant shall continue to cooperate with the investigation and shall appear before the I.O. of the case as and when required; (ii) The accused applicant shall not, directly or indirectly, make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade such person from disclosing those Page No.# 3/3 facts to the Court or to any police officer; (iii) That the accused applicant shall not hamper or temper with the evidence of the case in any manner. 7.
