1. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and
learned counsel for the State.
2. The Petitioner is an accused in connection with G.R Case No.916/2021, pending before the Court of the learned J.M.F.C., Khallikote, arising out of Khallikote P.S. Case No. 427/2021 for alleged commission of offences under Sections 147/148/294/307/506/149 of IPC.

Learned counsel, on instruction, submits that except the present BLAPL, no other bail application of the Petitioner relating to the aforementioned P.S. case is pending in any other Court.
4. Being aggrieved by the rejection of his application for bail U/s.483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik
Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Khallikote by order dated 16.03.2026 in the aforementioned case, the present BLAPL has been filed.

The case of the prosecution is that the complainant appeared at P.S. and presented a written report alleging therein that on 08.07.2021 at about 10 P.M., while he was sleeping, at that time the Petitioner along with 5 to 7 persons holding sword abused in filthy languages and assaulted him. Hence, the case.
6. It is submitted by the learned counsel that the Petitioner is in custody since 16.03.2026 and referring to the injury report indicating that the injury has been categorized as simple in nature, the Petitioner seeks release on bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail.
8. Considering the nature of the injury and the period in custody, this Court directs the Petitioner to be released on bail on such terms to be fixed by the learned Court in seisin.
9. Accordingly, the BLAPL stands disposed of.
10. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted as per rules.
