Side) ******* 1/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 9010 of 2026 ORDER The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 420, 296(b) and 351 of IPC in Crime No.233 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the entire allegation is in respect of a land transaction and that the petitioner and the de facto complainant are relatives. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that 35 sovereigns of gold and cash of Rs.4 lakhs handed over to the petitioner are yet to be recovered. Hence, he would strongly oppose to grant anticipatory bail. 4.The contention of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) that unless the petitioner is taken for custody the recovery should not be effected, cannot be faulted.
