APP Mr. Sachit Talukdar ……for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 204 days. The case is based on documents, search and seizure is completed, charge-sheet has been submitted before the jurisdictional Court and charges have been framed as also the fact that the petitioner is a physically challenged person. As such he may be granted bail on any stringent conditions. Learned advocate for the State produces the Case Diary which reflects that money was transmitted from the account of the District Magistrate to that of the petitioner and the said money is of “District Anaemia Control Account”. According to the prosecution case a sum of Rs.2.21/- crores along with a sum of Rs.26/- lakh were traced in the account of the present petitioner. 2 Having considered the gravity of the offence, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, CRM (M) 392 of 2026 is dismissed. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
