The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in connection with Kersai P.S. Case No.31 of 2025, for the alleged offences registered under Sections 317(5) and 3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Sections 12(1)(2)(3) of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005 and Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, 1960 pending in the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Simdega. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners happened to be owner of two different pickup vans and the allegations are made of carrying bovine animals. He further 2026:JHHC:12756 --2-- A.B.A. No. 2144 of 2026 submits that the petitioners have got no criminal antecedent as disclosed in paragraph No.20 of the petition. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposed the prayer and submits that the petitioners are owner and illegally bovine animals were being carried. 5. Considering that the petitioners are owner of pickup van and the petitioners have got no criminal antecedent as disclosed in paragraph No.20 of the petition and the allegations are made of carrying bovine animals in the pickup van, I am inclined to provide anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 6. Accordingly, the petitioners, above named, are hereby directed to surrender before the learned Court within three weeks from today, and in the event of their surrender/arrest, the petitioners, above named, shall be released on bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) each, with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Simdega in connection with Kersai P.S.
