ORDER: This contempt case is filed against the respondents for willful disobedience of the orders dated 29.04.2025 passed by this Court in W.P.No.9505 of 2025.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this Court passed an
order dated 29.04.2025 in W.P.No.9505 of 2025, directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 10.02.2025 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible. Even though this Court specifically directed the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, with reference to the observations made in Kotaru Sarath Kumar v. the State of Andhra Pradesh1, the respondents neither passed any speaking order nor replied to the petitioner. Hence, the contempt case.

On the other hand, learned counsel for the respondents filed counter affidavit on behalf of Respondent No.4, wherein, it is stated that pending contempt case, the respondents have passed a speaking order dated 06.12.2025 by holding that the petitioner herein is not entitled for Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) benefits under the Polavaram Irrigation Project. Hence, in view of passing of the speaking order, the orders

of this Court are complied with and no further orders necessary and requested to close the contempt case.

Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondents and on perusal of the material placed on record, more particularly, the counter affidavit filed by the respondent No.4, it appears that pending contempt case, the respondents have passed a speaking order dated 06.12.2025 holding that the petitioner is not entitled for Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) benefits as prayed for. In view passing of the said rejection proceedings, the orders of this court are duly complied with. Hence, the petitioner has not made out any contemptuous action on part of the respondents and no further orders are necessary and the present contempt case is liable to be closed.
6. Accordingly, the Contempt Case is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
